Position Summary:

Responsible for supporting the day to day activities of a selling organization culture with a consumer-centric focus through analytics and reporting. Responsible for creating and maintaining all Distribution and Transportation (D&T) reporting needs, ensuring user knowledge through ongoing and ad hoc reports and analysis, and driving consultation with D&T leaders on reporting and data recommendations. Also responsible for performing skilled analytics to identify impacts and linkage to D&T and Supply Chain strategy, using business modeling and analysis to solve complex problems or identify opportunities and trends through large data sets. This role can tell stories with data and simplify and present the relevant information to help the D&T leadership team make informed, data-driven decisions.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Support D&T and Supply Chain through effective execution of reporting and data analysis that will enhance strategies and initiatives.

  • Extensive cross collaboration representing D&T leadership across Supply Chain, IT, Data Governance teams to ensure data integrity.

  • Partner with key stakeholders in D&T to develop core requirements for reporting and establish most effective user interface and modeling. This includes partnership with Training and Process team in guiding priorities based on analytics and data.

  • Responsible for reporting, with interpretation, key metrics determined in collaboration with D&T and Supply Chain leadership as well as ad hoc requests.

  • Work collaboratively to understand the purpose of the data request and provide recommendations regarding metrics, data content and formatting to meet the needs of the requestor. 

  • Independently identify and perform complex correlation analyses for areas of focus in order to present results and recommendations in a clear concise manner.

  • Routinely translate large amounts of data into actionable findings and format into presentation ready documentation that tells a clear story and can be used to support business reviews with D&T leaders on a regular cadence.

  • Develop presentations utilized to communicate meaningful results, trends, and insights regarding the performance of key strategic initiatives.

  • Provide analytics and reports that translate D&T data into accurate, insightful and predictive information for leaders to determine priorities and solutions. Make recommendations as to whether changes will be effective before making a decision.

  • Subject matter expert support for data analytics tools with emphasis on learning and developing new analysis/reporting capabilities.

  • Provide support for the function as an effective promoter of change and growth through data driven decisions.

  • Serve as a member of key teams, projects and committees as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Seasoned level of knowledge for company, business and industry practices

  • Forecasting and Replenishment methodologies

  • Understanding of Inventory Management and DC Operations

  • Statistical analysis software

  • Data mining tools

  • Expert Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Excellent organizational, planning, influence, communication and presentation skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Data visualization / analytical tools (I.e Alteryx, Power BI)

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, math, statistics, or other quantitatively-oriented major

  • Analytics certifications preferred

  • 3-5 years relevant experience
