PRIMARY PURPOSE

Oversee and maintain the total operations for assigned areas and associates, ensure supervisory team meets and maintains production standards for the inventory and receiving departments based on assignment. Handle all daily issues and projects under the direction of the Campus Manager. Work with all Campus departments, Transportation, and Shipping to ensure the timely and safe movement of product. Hold associates accountable for providing retail and our customers the best quality product possible. Sponsor, measure, and guide campus goals to completion in areas of responsibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Manage team of supervisors responsible for the day-to-day activities of department of business unit and assigned staff
•Supervise team’s performance through performance planning, coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts
•Communicates and keeps direct reports well informed and aligned to Company and DC’s values, goals, results, initiatives, policies, procedures etc.
•Ensures associate schedule meets the demand of inbound/outbound volume
•Responsible for assisting in hiring, training, and developing of all new and existing associates
•Work with all applicable departments to ensure efficiently and accurate flow of inventory in and out of the campus receiving departments
•Hold departmental meetings as expected
•Help support, communicate, and administer disciplinary action to associates who violate company policy
•Communicate with appropriate individuals/departments during the shift that may affect other warehouse departments
•Efficiently lead the supervisors of the department toward attaining their individual and combined goals through hands-on guidance.
•Develop a large group of production associates into a well-organized, highly motivated and well aligned team.
•Minimize workplace accidents and injuries by sustaining a culture that is compliant with safety procedures and highly focused on workplace safety.
•Maintain labor cost and improve productivity
•Strategically plan, develop, implement, and be responsible for budget & operational goals
•Serve as a resource, mentor, and coach/trainer for supervisor direct reports and supervisor trainees progressing through the DLOT curriculum
•Provide accurate reporting information to Campus Manager and others
•Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
•Aggressively pursue waste and inefficiencies in their operation
•Target potential improvements and work with teams to improve working environment and product throughput
•Act as "change agent" to drive "lean" education and utilization
•Play a key role in the development of a Continuous Improvement mindset in our operations to better service our customer and provide and support training for associates to support continuous improvement ideas.
•Accountable for "lean" process sustainability within assigned operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

•Seasoned knowledge of campus inventory and receiving practices
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
•High School Education or equivalent
•College degree or equivalent experience
•Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
•3-5 years of experience in management
•Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
•Familiarity with WMS and supporting systems (i.e. RF & Voice Selection)
•Basic understanding of business financial reports and information

•Motivate and supervise to promote associate morale and maintain compliance with company objectives
•Excellent customer service, written, and verbal communication with associates, peers and members of management
•Proven track record of being an open-minded, strong leader, with ability to motivate and develop others
•Must be able to work on all shifts and weekends
